Make a smaller attachment

Choose a photo in the app, or share one from your gallery to Photo Resize. Wait for the file sizes to appear, tap a size, and choose your email or messaging app. Cancelling Android’s sharing menu returns you to the photo.

Why is an option missing or not smaller?

Photo Resize never enlarges a photo. It offers presets below the photo’s original longest edge. A transparent PNG may remain large; the app preserves transparency instead of replacing it with a solid background. Original is unchanged, including metadata. Animated images offer Original so their animation is preserved.

A cloud photo won’t open

Open the photo in its provider or gallery and download it first, then choose or share it again. The photo provider handles cloud access; Photo Resize itself works offline.

A temporary photo is unavailable

Choose the source photo again. Android can clear cached copies, and Photo Resize removes copies unused for 24 hours on later launches. Your source photo is not deleted.

Storage or memory errors

Free some device storage or close other apps, then try again. Choose a smaller source file if the image is unusually large. Individual input files over 256 MB are not supported.
